Wha wha what?? You could have done a mock protest about abusing babies and tigers for the sake of comedy and be on the news and even meet the cast!! Oh well....

Yeah I was basically forced to watch Arrested Development by a coworker who swore it was the best show ever, and though I complained about it as I watch it, I eagerly asked for the next set of DVD so maybe I'm secretely a big fan. Though, I loved Lucile, she cracked me up every time, she was the best and idiot Buster, and Maeby and Lindsay and.... ok that's it. I truly hated Tobias though, don't kow why.

Yes, I recall seeing a bit of Iron Mike in one of the previews. In fact, I walked past the London premier yesterday - they had the area sealed off and there were already heaps of people there despite it being a good 40 minutes away from the arrival of the stars. We were hungry so we went to dinner instead of sticking around!

Ahhh...so you're an Arrested Development fan too? I've been dying to do a post speculating about the upcoming movie but just haven't found the time.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna start writing right now!

This Docu hasn't play around this parts, I'll probably have to wait to video to check it out. Like you I was too young to really be into Mike but I was aware of him because my grandpa was big into boxing and used to talk about him. And because he's back on my orbit thanks to his appareance on The Hangover (and this here review) I'll definitely check this out. Btw, yes, Jeffrey Tambor aka George Bluth is in The Hangover, not alot of screen time but he has a funny recurring line.

About Shadow of the Wind: the thing you have to remember or tell yourself over and over (ingrain in your brain really) is that every writer is different, you can't be anyone but yourself. Sure some people are better at it than others but you can't compare yourself to every great book you encounter because you'll scare yourself into a corner and will never get anything done, and one day when you are seventy (or sooner) you are going to regret it big time, ESPECIALLY if you truly feel like writing is your passion. If anything, see good books as encouragement to try harder, to polish yourself, to finish that book, a goal you want to achieve no matter what. Heck, if fantasy is your medium, then find what you consider the holy grail of the genre and place it in front of you at the computer and tell yourself that not only are you going to get there but you'll top it by reinventing the genre (and fantasy does needs someone to breath fresh concepts into it) you may not do it out of the gate but a writer, a good one, doesn't just have one book in him. He has many.

Sorry this got lengthy, I tend to ramble.
