No apology should ever be necessary for being exceptional (assuming that you're being so with integrity), and firing someone for succeeding too much is completely ridiculous. I remember once we were playing in a mixed game and we were killing the other side AND they ended up having only 4 players on the court. and i was pressuring the PG with full court D, and then someone told me to let up on them, and i realised how competitive I was being even though we were up by like 40 plus points (and also how cruel lol). its bad sportmanship to destroy them 100 - 0. it completely demoralises the other team and i dont see what that does for the winning team. i didnt think the coach would get fired. however, i think it was wrong to run up the score like that. at least have some mercy on your opponent! i think you have to let up at 40 – 50 points.
